How do I apply for free trees?

Fill in the form below, answering all the questions in full, by 31st March. Priority will be given to those who are willing to keep us updated with the progress of their trees. You will be provided with a mixture of native species, we cannot guarantee specific species mixes. We will be in touch by 30th April with your Free Tree Initiative information. Be sure to add our email address to your ‘safe sender’ list, to make sure that our email doesn’t get lost.

Key information about planting our trees.

Trees should be planted once there is regular rainfall. Trees must be fenced to protect from livestock, and tree guards must be used to deter rabbits. Trees will be supplied in HIKO trays and forestry tubes, designed to be planted with the appropriate tree planter. A bond per tray/tube will apply, refunded on their return, to enable us to reuse them and continue the initiative.
Please conduct your own research into how best to plant trees in your soil type and region – a Google search on this will provide lots of useful information!

How can I help the Mosswood Free Tree Initiative?

Plant trees! Post about your tree planting on social media platforms, remembering to tag @MosswoodWildlife and use the #MosswoodFreeTrees. Email us photos and updates. Provide us with the relevant location information of your trees so that we can map and keep track of the initiative’s success! Keep an eye out for our 6 and 12 month follow up emails, and let us know how you are progressing.
